The Woodward Arts & Theater Council is pleased to announce that enrollment is currently underway for it’s 15th annual Summer Arts Camp, to be held August 3 - 7, 2009 at the Woodward Arts Theatre and Josie Adams Cultural Centre , 818 Main St., Woodward, Oklahoma. This years theme will be “Summer Safari” and as usual will be a fun filled, action packed week featuring arts-focused learning activities, which will be conducted by our 12 professional artists. Camp hours are Monday - Friday from 8:15 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., and the week concludes with an art exhibit and performance on Friday evening.  Campers enrolled in the Explore program (ages 8 - 13 years), will enjoy arts experiences in drama, visual arts, and music.  The Enrichment program (grades 7 - 12), will offer campers a choice of focusing on either drama, visual arts or modern dance. Please join us in celebrating the publication of Images of America: Woodward County. The book is a photographic history of Woodward County from statehood to present with a narrative of the County’s history as written by Ian Swart, Curator of the Plains Indians and Pioneers Museum. Swart will be signing copies of his book upon request at the Plains Indians and Pioneers Museum located at 2009 Williams Avenue, Woodward.
