City Government

The City of Woodward, Oklahoma has adopted the City Commission type of government as outlined by The City Charter and The Constitution of The State of Oklahoma. You may view The City Charter in the Online Services section of this web site. Commissioners of the City of Woodward are as follows.

 

  • Commissioner Ward 1
    Ward 1 Commissioner Roscoe Hill

    A lifelong resident of Northwest Oklahoma, Roscoe Hill was born and raised in Mooreland,  Oklahoma. He moved to Woodward in 1960 where he accepted a position with Northwest Carpet & Tile.  Roscoe met and married Ann Adkins in 1967. The couple recently celebrated 41 years together. Roscoe was first elected as a City Commissioner in 1980. He served as Mayor Pro Tem in 1981 and Mayor in 1982. Roscoe returned to serve as City Commissioner again in 2003, a post he holds to this day. Commissioner Hill also serves the community as Chairman of the Woodward Regional Hospital Board, Board Member of Health Services Foundation, and a Board Member with Woodward United Fund.
