John Meinders was born and raised in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and is a 1985 graduate of Pauls Valley High School. John attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1989 with a degree in Microbiology. He then attended Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating with a doctorate in juris prudence in 1992.
John moved to Woodward in 1992 and worked for long time Woodward attorney, Harold Lowrey, for 4 years before opening his own law practice in Woodward in 1997.
John is currently a member of the High Plains Technology Center Board of Directors where he has served as president, a member of the Oklahoma Action Resource Centers (OARC) Board of Directors where he currently serves as president, and formerly served on many boards in the Woodward community.
John and his family attend New Horizon United Methodist Church. John has been married to Ingrid for over 25 years, and they have 3 daughters, Allison, Sarah, and Grace.
